Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. If I did, I'd make sure the books didn't end this way.
Author's note: Here's something I wrote ages ago, it's pretty random, just a possible ending of the seventh book. Anyway, I hope you like it, and please review!!!
Harry ducked yet another jet of light coming from Voldemort's wand, if only he could find a way to catch him off his guard. Unfortunately, Voldemort was trying to do the exact same thing to Harry.
All of a sudden, a thought struck him. He grabbed the jewel encrusted sword of Godric Gryffindor and plunged it through Voldemort.
At the same time, he heard a high pitched voice scream "Avada Kedavra." Harry saw a green light shooting toward him. He didn't even have time to react, the light hit him and his body hit the ground next to a dying Voldemort.
Final Chapter- The Living Scar
Ron Weasley jerked awake at his desk at the auror headquarters. He had had the same dream for the past fifteen years, ever since that fateful day when so many people close to him had died. Those who lived through the fight were never the same either.
Parvati was scarred for life, the cruciatus curse had left her paralyzed on her left side, but that didn't stop her from predicting bad things happening to a new generation of Hogwarts stundents. Unlike Trelawney, she never predicted death of a student. That was too close to home for her. Having her twin sister and best friend die on the same day was not one of the highlights of her life.
Fred had closed down Weasley's Wizard Wheezes about a month after the final battle. Going on without his brother was more than he could handle. Instead, he had disappeared to Tibet and routinely sent Ron long letters in which he contemplated the meaning of life.
Cho was playing on a quidditch team for the disabled. Her ankle injury had made diving on her broomstick next to impossible, but she still had fun playing on a toy broomstick which only lifted her a few feet off the ground.
Dudley was the only one who didn't care what had happened. He was professionally boxing in America and didn't even show up at the memorial service for Harry and everyone else who had died that day.
Ron missed every single one of them, Harry, Hermione, Dumbledore, George, his mother, Padma, Lavender, he even missed Umbridge a little bit. People around her said she had made a sound sounding strangely like a croak when she was killed.
Thinking about that made him sad. He pulled out a chocolate frog and glanced at the card. The words on in seemed to be placed there for one reason. There was something he had to do.
Getting into the Department of Mysteries was no problem for him. He was an auror, the doors didn't even start spinning when he entered. He quickly walked to the death chamber and quietly walked down the stairs to the middle of the room where the veil stood. He pulled it back with one hand and dropped the card through it.
Harry deserved to see it and know how much the entire world valued his sacrifice. Ron felt a tear coming on as he thought back to the words on the card:
Harry James Potter-
Sometimes referred to as the "boy-who-lived," Harry Potter is widely known for giving up his life to rid the wizarding community of the dark wizard Voldemort. In his life, Harry was most known for his lightening-bolt shaped scar.
