Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...
Alanna stared over the sea of sand, Jon was
gone, she had let him slip away. He had left her in this warm, serene place of
heaven, yet to her it felt like hell.
And who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...
Had she made the right decision? Life with
Jon could have been her dream, she had always loved his eyes, his face, his
heart, so what went wrong?
Who can say why your heart sighs,
As your love flies?
Only time...
When he left the tent the day before Alanna
had felt only anger, now though it was simply remorse, he had loved her since
that first day outside the city of the gods, when he had first found out. And
now he was moved on.
And who can say why your heart cries,
When your love dies?
Only time...
So that was it, she would have to live
without, Alanna thought her heart would shatter, he had been the one who completed
her baffled world. He had stuck by her through everything, now he wanted her to
do the same for him.
Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be,
In your heart.
Maybe someday they would meet and she would
consider him a friend, but she couldn't live life with him like that, she
needed to be free.
And who can say when the day sleeps,
If the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart...
Alanna needed the comfort of a friend
someone she had always needed.
Who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...
George would be there for her, she could
see his smiling face already, he couldn't solve her puzzle, but he would be
there to help her.
And
who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...
Alanna didn't know where this path would
take her, but she knew somehow, that the goddess was smiling.
