A/N: feeling blue. Need to study for math test, and geometry is just not being my best friend right now, so if too angst-y, sorry.
Bury Me Softly in this Womb:
She wanted to disappear.
She was more than embarrassed.
She was terrified of the consequences.
So she ran to him.
He welcomed her with opened arms.
Again.
And then she left.
She came again.
He never asked why.
He never knew if to expect her.
She just came.
Stayed for a while.
Talked, about her life, his, it was working out well, she said.
Then why, why, did she come here every time?
He asked her, once, if she's going to stay.
She was quiet, then said she didn't know.
She never knew.
It was friendly at first.
Hugs, back rubs.
Then came kisses, soft caresses.
And then- sex.
Usually she left morning after.
She left him in his apartment, with a bottle or whiskey, and a cigarette.
Hoping she will come back.
And she always did.
The last time was different.
She didn't leave.
Well, not right after.
She stayed for a week.
For her- the only time she actually slept at night, feeling calm, safe.
For him- he stayed awake looking at her, stroking her hair, whishing she was his.
Only his.
She'd come to him, with big circles under her eyes, her lips shaped into a slight pout, her hair messed from the long drive, and longing eyes.
He always waited for that knock on the door, and dreaded it's slamming in the end of her visits.
She tells him she loved him, he knows it's not true, but every time he hears it he wants to dance.
Suddenly, her visits become more often, and she stays for longer periods, he's afraid to ask what's wrong, and she never says anything herself.
She comes crying, braking down in his arms, he wants to cry too, seeing her like this, but he never does.
Then, she comes with a huge suitcase, her face shining, when he opens the door, she kisses him, hard, and asks him to help her move her stuff in.
He doesn't mind, he does it quickly.
She stayed, longer than ever.
The circles under her eyes disappear.
She seems happy.
Comfortable.
She says she loves him.
He asked her if she is going to leave.
She is silent.
Then says no.
He wants to dance.
She didn't leave, like she promised.
And the past was left unsaid.
She liked it that way.
And he was happy that she liked it.
