"Man, there's nothing here. Another day and another empty trap."

A lonely figure walked along the hills that run along the Pandorian environment. Garbed in tattered and plain clothing, the figure grumbled to himself over his unsuccessful catch today. Taking his hat off, the man ran a hand through his spikey hair hanging over his neck and decided to call it a day. "Better get a move on before it gets dark, God knows I don't need another one of Pandora's weird fauna popping up," said the man.

All was quiet with only the sounds of the trapper's boots clacking against the rocky path. Humming a tune to himself, the man kept his eye on the skies and the path in front of him, wary of any dangers or anomalies. The man stopped; his gaze suspicious as his instincts warned him of possible danger. His eyes widened as, what he could only describe as a gaping black maw, opened in front of him and deposited a small child. Once the child left the maw("Portal?"), it simply converged in on itself and vanished. Wary of the child, the man approached the kid and cast a scanning eye over the kid's condition and appearance. "Ain't too many gingers around here, especially ones that pop outta nowhere," the man said. His mind made up, the man picked up the child and carried him on his back.

"This is gonna be an awkward talk when this kid wakes up."

"Mom!"

A child's cry could be heard ringing throughout the fields surrounding a small cabin. "I guess the kid's awake now," surmised the man. Stepping through the cabin door, the man made a beeline towards the room from where the cry originated. Once he opened the door, he was greeted to the panicked form of the child.

"Easy kid."

The child snapped his head towards the man in the doorway. With a sigh, the man grabbed a chair near the door and dragged it into the room, where he proceeded to sit on with the back facing the child.

"First things first, what's your name?"

The child seemed to be cautious and hesitated before giving the man an answer.

"...Kurosaki Ichigo."

"Right, Cure-the-curry, I'm Hunter. Don't have a last name."

"...it's not cure the curry..."

"What?"

"...It's not cure the curry. It's K-U-R-O-S-A-K-I..."

"Right, Kurosaki. Anyways, do you know where you are?"

"...No, not really..."

"Well, you're here in my cabin in the Highlands. Know where that is?"

Kurosaki seemed disturbed and confused.

"...Where's that in Japan?"

Now it was Hunter's turn to look confused.

"Ja-pan?"

"Mister...what's this country's name?"

What Kurosaki heard sent a wave of dread of hopelessness throughout his core.

"Country? I don't know about that, but this here's Pandora, the planet full of bandits, monsters, and every breed of danger you could imagine. Now, where are you from again?

Total revision of chapter. Might be more in the future, don't get your hopes up, I was bored today.
