Everyone was gathered for the World Meeting. As usual, there was chaos among the crowd. America, however, was under the table (literally), for once not feuling the fighting. He was instead reading a book, drowning out the noise of his 'friends'. It was such a cool story! Cats living in the forest and fighting for every scrap they can get! One of America's children had lent him the first six books in the series.
"What are you doing under here, eh?"
America jumped, banging his head as he did so. Alfred realized it was just his brother, Matthew, so he calmed down. The younger male tilted his head to see the title of the book.
"Warriors" he read. "The Darkest Hour."
America nodded with a nervous chuckle.
"Firestar and Graystripe remind me of us" he exclaimed.
Canada let out a giggle.
"Compairing us to cats now, eh?"
America pouted.
"These cats are amazing!" He then thought blissfully. "I wish I was a warrior cat..."
He closed his eyes, trying to imagine himself as a cat. He'd be light coloured. He'd have a puffy black tail and black poofy fur around his neck like the collar of his jacket. Just as he was thinking about his warrior name, he heard a familiar shout.
"That's it! I'm tired of you wankers!"
Oh boy... America and Canada exchanged a glance and crawled out from under the table. Ignoring France's suggestive look, the brothers focused on England. He was chanting something in a strange language. America stepped forward.
"Iggy, whatcha doin'?"
He stepped onto a pattern on the floor that he had failed to notice. This caused England to look up.
"You git" he shouted. "Get off of there!"
America blinked in confusion, then looked down as the pattern started to glow. America dropped his book and stepped back quickly. By the time he realized he had dropped it, the book was already glowing. England realized what had happened.
"Son of a-" BOOM!
"What are you doing under here, eh?"
