Dear Diary
This is the first Christmas in Storybrooke since the curse has broken, Snow and I returned just in time. I'm not sure if they ever celebrated Christmas in the Enchanted Kingdom before, but here they sure go all out on the decorations. There is a huge tree in town square that everyone got together and decorated. Grumpy and the dwarves climbed the ladders placing the ornaments at people's request. I surprised Henry with an ornament, it says 'Our first Christmas' with a picture of us and Snow and Charming. Our first family ornament; he was thrilled. After the tree decorating we all went to Granny's for hot chocolate. Now, here is where things got a little strange. I wanted to run back to the house and get the other present for Henry (an Xbox 360, I had to go out of town just to find one) and just as I was about to leave Granny's I bumped into none other than Jefferson.
I haven't seen Jefferson since he kidnapped Mary Margaret and me. I know now that everything he was telling me than was the truth but I still have a right to be upset right? Anyways, I heard Granny clapping her hands in delight. Apparently she thought it would be funny to hang mistletoe above the door, and whoever bumped into each other under the entrance of her diner by holiday rules were forced to kiss. No way, I was not going to agree to that! I threatened to throw her in jail but she said if I didn't follow the rules she'd be forced to never serve me or my family again. I was okay with that, Granny's can't be the only place to get a bite to eat around here but the look on Henry's face, I couldn't take Granny's away from him. So, against my will I was forced to participate in a kiss with Jefferson.
Okay. I have to confess that it was kind of nice and here and only here will I gush about it. Let's start from the beginning, when I had first hit Jefferson with my car I have to admit the first thought that ran through my head was 'If I had to hit anybody at least it was a cute guy.' But once he kidnapped, drugged and forced me to make a hat his appearance was the least of my concern. After he was kicked from the window I kind of forgot about him; that was until I saw Regina pull his hat from the hat box. It was like I had completely forgotten about him right up until that moment, and then it had hit me. He was telling me the truth, he was trying to get me to believe all along. After realizing that of course I was even more furious, so when I saw him I naturally wanted to slap him, but after Granny's demands I had no other choice. He stared at me as usual, his proximity is always uncomfortable and this time was no different. I think he was actually finding this funny. He leaned over and whispered just loud enough for me to hear, "Merry Christmas Princess," right before he pulled me in for a kiss.
Now don't get me wrong the kiss was surprisingly enjoyable but in no way will I be sending a thank you card to Jefferson anytime soon, but I did notice his daughter was with him so I guess if she can find reasons to forgive him maybe I can too. (However I will be sending Granny a big box of chocolates, and steering clear of the entrance to her diner until the end of January.)
Until next time
Emma
