Naruto: The Changed History
He was running from a mob again, for today was the celebration of the Kyuubi no Kitsune's defeat, and the mourning of the Yondaime's sacrifice. They were yelling all sorts of profanities, none of which a six year old child should hear. His body couldn't run fast enough and he tripped from exhaustion. They started beating him and all he could do was murmur, "Why me, what did I do?" None were heard, if they were they were ignored.
While this was happening Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Sandaime Hokage, was smoking his pipe after finishing his paperwork when a weasel masked ANBU stepped in. "Hokage-sama, young Uzumaki Naruto is being beat again", he paused then started again, "if you wish I'll stop it and be on my way."
Sarutobi wasted no time in nodding and saying, "Itachi, I know this will sound absurd, but I was wondering if you will train him in the ways of the ninja for the teachers at the Academy will not teach him, much less notice him, exept for Iruka, so I need someone to train him to use Kyuubi, so do you accept?" Weasel, now known as Itachi, disappeared to help Naruto.
"Please stop!" is all he could scream before a kunai plunged in his chest, spraying blood everywhere.
The ninja yelled, "I did it, I killed the dem-", before a sword plunged through his chest, much in the same way he stabbed Naruto, except the sword went through his heart. Everyone screamed and fled at what happened to the ninja. Itachi carefully picked him up and went to the Hokage to ask an important question.
When he got there he asked as calmly as he could without breaking down that his little brother, Sasuke, be spared in the massacre that was about to happen. Sarutobi thought and nodded, but before he dismissed him he said, "Don't kill your mother either; she is not like the others." Itachi looked as surprised as he could with a mask on and almost left but Sarutobi added, "I know you want to take them with you on your journey to train Naruto and you can, if you can get them too, that is all." In that moment, like that the fate of the Uchiha clan was sealed.
(Time skip: 6 years later)
"We're almost at the gates!" A twelve year old Naruto exclaimed. Itachi shivered, Mikoto, Itachi and Sasukes mom and Naruto's adopted one, gulped and Sasuke was smiling at Naruto's enthusiasm. When they reached the gates the guard rushed to Itachi and put a katana and kunai each to Itachi's throat and heart. What really surprised them is that he didn't go homicidal, and that the others just stood still as if knowing that was going to happen. "Come Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Mikoto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Uzumaki Naruto, we're going to the Hokage.
A minute and a lot of stares later they arrived. "Welcome back you all, I hope training was all well." Sarutobi said as if there wasn't an S-Classed criminal in the room. "Tell me what went on, on the training trip." He said, and there it begins, the life of Uchiha-Uzumaki Naruto.
