Hi! This is my first fanfiction on here so if there are errors let me know! Disclaimer: I do not own Gravity Falls.

It was early in the morning.

The sun was still sleeping, but Mabel was wide awake. She had given up trying to sleep due to nightmares. Ever since Weirdmaggedon, nightmares were a common thing in the Pines household. So she was curled up against Stan's chair paying no attention to Ducktective. Mabel closed her eyes. Bill's laughter filled her mind and she whimpered. She needed to seek comfort from Waddles.

She walked up the stairs and into the room in the attic. On Dipper's bed was the boy covered in a sheet flicking a flashlight.

"Dipper?" Mabel asked

Dipper removed the sheet. Waddles was in his lap and the flashlight showed just how awful Dipper looked. Clearly he hadn't gotten sleep.

"You too?" he whispered

Mabel nodded and went to sit on Dipper's bed, "I would ask Grunkle Stan but…"

Dipper understood. Stan was starting to get his memory back yet there was a chance he might not remember them. Dipper and Mabel didn't want that heartbreak so early in the morning. Mabel pulled Waddles into her lap and Dipper missed the warmth immediately. The twins sat in silence. If they listened closely they could hear the snores of Stan. Dipper turned the flashlight off.

"You know what we can do?" he asked

Mabel shrugged. He grabbed her hand and the two ran down stairs and into the kitchen. He grabbed the phone.

"This has to be an irrational morning thing" Mabel thought

Who would be up at this hour?

"Wendy?"

"I thought you got over Wendy!" Mabel groaned

Before Dipper could answer a voice came through the phone, "Dipper?"

"Did I wake you?"

"No, I've been up."

"Good. Come to the Mystery Shack in your pajamas. Bring a pillow and a blanket." He hung up before she could respond

Dipper then called Candy, Grenda, Pacifica, and Soos. Unlike everyone else, Soos was sleep.

They arrived at the Shack not long after and set up in the living room. They sat in a circle around a bowl of marshmallows.

"Let's be honest here. How many of us had a nightmare of some sort?" Dipper asked

Slowly, hands rose.

"I thought that triangle was supposed to be dead!" Wendy reached for a marshmallow

"He's always in my brain!" Grenda said "Out! Out! Out!"

"Yes, Bill is quite frightening." Candy added

"That's why I assembled us together." Dipper said "I figured if we can't sleep…we might as well not sleep together."

Smiles spread across the room.

"Un-sleepover!" Mabel, Candy, and Grenda cheered

So the un-sleepovers began. If a night was particularly hard for someone, they would head to the Mystery Shack and huddle in the living room. They watched old TV shows and movies and maybe a board game was played, but in the morning Ford and Stan would find several sleeping kids in the living room.

No one disturbed them because they knew.

It was the best sleep they had in a while.
