Chapter 1
The cool evening air gave way to a hot, humid enviroment. Sounds of whistles and clunky machinery echoed throughout the airships' engine room. Hot, metal pipes webbed the tall ceiling, each wanting to reach its destination before the other.
Steel levers and blinking buttons lined the endless expanse of walls as uniformed workers inspected every inch of the machinery.
The whole airship was alive, and yet had its will under anothers' control. Its inhale came from the infernos that kept the titanic balloon aloft, while its exhale ended with the four funnels leading out the back of the ship. The cool, summer breeze relieved the steaming, metal hull of its stress as it sailed through the clouds.
Yes, being the Captain of an AirNavy battle cruiser certainly had its advantages.
