A/N ok so I know I haven't updated my other fic in ages. It's been a tough few months. And it's still not over. I will hopefully be able to write the next chapter and update next month. But here is a short ficlet to make up for it. Hope you enjoy.

Luna faced out towards the sea. It was a cool day, the wind blowing her dirty blonde hair over her face. Her eyes were closed tight. Keeping away tears. She was never one to run away from anything, but her heart hurt too much to stay.

Hermione. She didn't even realise how hurt it had made her.

They had never been that close in school. Having the same friends, but very different views. Didn't stop her heart from beating faster every time she was around. It didn't stop her from trying to always talk to her. They did eventually become friends after school. Now they went out every Thursday night to catch up with each other.

It had started last Thursday when they met up at some random cafe that Hermione had chosen. Where she had gone on to tell her how she had met someone. Was falling for this person. Luna had made excuses to leave before Hermione could continue, and went home devastated. Falling onto her bed and crying into the early morning. Without thinking she had called up work, faking a family emergency that would require her to leave for a prolonged period of time, and booked a train up north. Quickly packing a bag, she left to go back to Scotland.

Chosen at random, Girvan would became her home for a while. Until she felt she could return home with her heart mended.

Luna felt the sun leave her skin. She should leave to return to her temporary home. Though she was certain someone else was on this beach with her. No noise around. But she knew it.

Eyes opening slowly, she looked around until she found a familiar face looking sadly at her.

"Hi, you left before I could explain to you. I've looked for you for 5 days. I'm so glad I've found you though. Please can we talk?"

Hermione looked at Luna hopefully. Inching closer to her, unsure of herself. Luna looked her messed up hair, tear stained cheeks and nodded.

"How did you find me, I'm lost."

Hermione quickly walked over to her taking her hands in her warm dry ones. Looking her dead in the eye.

"How could I not find you. You're my life. I was so worried. I knew you would choose here. You always talk about coming back to Scotland. You spoke about Girvan too. How you wanted to visit. I need to explain. Please. When I told you about the person I was falling for..."

"Please don't. I came here to heal."

"It's you! I've been falling for you."

Luna looked at Hermione. Tears falling down her face. And burst out crying herself. She didn't feel like this was real. She couldn't understand. But she could feel the love coming off of her.

She couldn't help herself. Grabbing Hermione she kissed all over her face, before briefly kissing her lips.

Hermione smiled and wrapped her arms around Luna.

Standing in the dusk cuddling into the night. Smiling.

"We'll be good, and take it slow. So you're heart will mend."

Luna looked at Hermione and smiled widely.

"My heart is healed."
