Zack smiled and leaned against the church door frame as he watched Aerith tend to her flowers. "Hey Aerith, you know how I asked you on that date?"
She paused and looked up at Zack, smiling as per usual. "Mm-hmm."
"Well do you want to go on the date now?"
Aerith looked up, slightly startled. "Um… now?"
"Yeah."
"I…" She paused, thinking about it for a moment before smiling beautifully, getting up and walking over to Zack, grabbing his hand. "Let's go."
Zack nodded, "Yeah… but where?"
"Oh! I thought you already planned it out."
He thought for a moment, before a thought popping into his head, I know exactly where to take Aerith! "Come on, Aerith! Let's go!"
She giggled and let Zack lead her to their destination. "Zack! Where are we going?"
As he ran he looked over his shoulder, "To the outside of the plate to see the sky; I promised you I'll show you a beautiful sky."
Aerith giggled giddily as they ran through the slums of Midgar until they reached the outside of the plate. Once they reached the edge, they stopped running and started to walk.
Zack looked over to Aerith. "Are you nervous?"
She shook her head, "Nope."
"Okay, good." They finally were out of the plate's diameter, and Zack and Aerith could see the beautiful baby blue sky.
She gasped, her hand covering her mouth. "Wow…" she murmured, "it's so… beautiful, Zack."
He grinned at Aerith's amazement, "Isn't it?"
"Yes… thank you, Zack, for taking me to see the sky for the first time."
"I'm just glad I got to be the one to show you the sky, Aerith."
She sighed, resting her head on his shoulder as they continued to watch the sky. "Me too…"
