Based on the prompt "A houseplant is dying. Tell it why it needs to live." (From 642 Things to Write About) By Rin.
Sasuke walked around the corner and found Yukimura on his knees in front of a potted plant.
"Uh...danna?"
"Sasuke! Oyakata-sama entrusted me with the care of this plant, and I have failed!"
He turned back to the plant and began yelling at it.
"Please, you must not die! You are a Takeda family treasure! I beg you to give me another chance, Plant-dono!" He bowed formally to the leafy thing. Sasuke knelt next to his master. Yukimura turned to face him, looking as if he might cry.
"Sasuke, what did I do wrong? I watered it twice a day." The shinobi looked at the dirt around the plant, more mud than anything else.
"I think that's your problem, danna. This plant doesn't need that much water."
"Then it will live?"
"If you give the watering a rest for a few days, yeah." Yukimura hopped up.
"Thank you, Sasuke! I shall not fail you again, Plant-dono! Together we will serve Oyakata-sama!"
While Yukimura continued to yell "encouraging" things to the plant, Sasuke sighed.
"Yare, yare."
