Author's note: This is my first Buffy The Vampire Slayer fanfic. Its basically old school Buffy because I haven't seen most of the new season. So if I get something horribly wrong tell me. It's kind of a short chapter but its just the introduction.

Dear Council,

Isabel has fared most excellently in her recent training exercises. Her skill with a broadsword has far exceeded my expectations.  I am also impressed with her impressive hand-to-hand combat abilities. She is quite efficient and wastes no time in slaying.

As to the recent influx of vampires of which I spoke of in my last letter, it has ceased for now. Though I am afraid it has taken a great toll on the town and the slayer. I also fear that this is not the end but the beginning of something much worse.
