Buttercup was walking home with her friend Abby. It had been a difficult day for the green tomboy, Buttercup. A new student had come and he reminded her of her lost friend.Maybe he was more. Why didn't I just tell him? She silently pulled out a lone piece of jewelry she wears. Suddenly she was sucked into a whirlpool of memories.
Flashback
One year at school the boys and girls collided and after some fights, and getting to know each other they became friends and for Bubbles and Boomer started dating. On a Friday evening Butch and Buttercup were skateboarding as usual. Butch suddenly stopped what he was doing and shoved his hands into his pockets." Hey Buttercup, can you do something for me?"Butch asked a bit nervous. "What?" Buttercup answered his question with a question."Close your eyes and turn around." He said. "Fine." She sighed. This better be good, she thought. She heard a swish of wind. "Open your eyes." He said with a smile in his voice. She sighed and turned around.
Butch stood there in a new outfit. He had on a white dress shirt and black pants as well with a forest green tie. In one of his hand was a bouquet of buttercups and one red roses in the center. In his other hand was a navy blue velvet box. " A bouquet of Buttercups for my little flower. The red roses stands for your uniqueness and beauty." Butch says handing Buttercup the bouquet. Buttercup took it blushing red."And a little surprise for you, too." He added handing her the box. I feel like Bubbles, she thought. Opening the box revealed a beautiful locket. It had a simple silver chain with a golden heart on the end. Encrusted into the heart was two black and green dragons intertwining together with jewal eyes
On the other side was a buttercup encircled with small green cursive words. Forever in Love, Forever Friends. As she opened the heart she saw a picture of her entire family and a picture of Butch. He wrapped his arms around her waist whispered into her ear "I love you, flower." Buttercup didn't know what to say please. She pressed her lips to his and kissed him passionately. He was a bit surprised, but kissed back. After seeming like eternity they stopped for air ,gasping." I love you too, Butchie." She said smirking." But one question." Buttercup said as they left."Yes sweetheart?" Butch said smirking.
"When did you get so cheesy?" She teased sending a smirk back."When I first met you." He says with a goofy face.

Buttercup let a sole tear land on the locket with a warm smile. Butch had gone missing a year ago. She had done her mourning."Buttercup, what's that?" Abby asked, snapping Buttercup out of her thoughts."Oh just remembering an old friend," Buttercup replied softly whispering the last part", a soulmate."
