I was too young
to play with
the older boys,
too smart to be
accepted,
and,
too unimportant
to be noticed

I came too late
to be welcomed,
arriving on the
black wings of
death
I was too young
to be seen,
and,
too weak
to protect
but...

A day came,
and,
I wasn't
too anything.
Finally, I was
just right.

perfect
