Christmas Eve:

This is told from Tai's point of view.


The snow has started to fall

my friends had just decided to call.

To my house they came,

bringing gifts, and bearing candy canes.

Around the tree, we all sat

ignoring the cries from my cat.

I watch my ten friends and my sister too,

drink all the punch, and each all the stew.

Sora sat next to me, (yes!)

Davis next to her, making a mess.

T.K. was next around the table,

Cody was next, making comments about this being a stable.

Next came Yolei, Kari, then Izzy, then Joe,

Matt and Mimi were there, acting a little slow.

After dinner, our presents we did open,

A new soccer ball, I was hopen!

Instead, a new pair of goggles I got,

given to me by Kari, (I wish I got her more than socks!)

Then we drank eggnog and sat on the couch,

each starting to fall asleep.

I smiled as a snuggled between a sleeping Sora and sister,

I closed my eyes, not saying a whisper.

Tomorrow is what I'm waiting for,

but I can wait, a little more.
