'Scenes From a Memory' by Dave McKean

I hope you like it, leave me your opinion :)

It got harder and harder to breathe and Severus could feel how his heartbeat slowed down more and more in his chest while the pain started to vanish, being replaced by a warm, comfortable feeling. He looked up to meet these green eyes and he knew that he did not have to be afraid any more, he had done everything he could to try and remove some of his guilt.

With his last breath, Severus closed his eyes and for a short moment darkness surrounded him, but then, there was a face in front of him. It took him a few blinks to realise that he seemed to look into a mirror, is own black eyes staring back at him and suddenly pictures, memories started to flicker over the pale skin of his reflection. Faces of people he had met, scenes he had witnessed or experienced in his life.

There was his father, shouting at his mother and taking swing to hit her again while his younger self was crouching under the kitchen table.

The first time he had met Lily. Looking back, he considered this as one of the best moments in his life.

Another happy memory was the one of the day he had taken the Hogwarts Express for the first time to start a new part of his life, to get away from his abusive father and to spend more time with Lily.

Potter. Black. Lupin. Pettigrew.

The countless times they had humiliated him, laughed at him.

Lily being angry at him, slapping him and he thought he could feel his skin burning again just like in that very moment he had called her a Mudblood.

Finding Lily dead in her house, the screaming baby Harry still in his crib.

Harry's first day at Hogwarts. The shock that had run through his body as their eyes had met and he had been struck by these eyes. Her eyes.

Being around this boy who was so much like his father, and, even though he would had never admitted this, like his mother. Like Lily.

Dumbledore. Killing Albus had been something that had damaged him, it had shattered him in a similar dimension as Lily's death.

Nagini attacking him. The pain, this horrible pain, Harry kneeling next to him, taking his memories, saving them from oblivion, making them a tool to help the boy understand.

His last sacrifice was completed, he had done everything he could and now he was finally free. Severus could feel how his soul was released from his body and he was drifting away on a wave of warmth and light.
