The Medicine Cat's Code

After having so much trouble with the rule in the past, the Clans reluctantly start letting medicine cats mate and have kits. Faced with challenges, all medicine cats have to make a choice: should they follow their heart? Or are they too deep into their work to betray StarClan now? Rated T cuz im scared

1. Chapter 1

This takes place when some cats did not die and stuff like that.

"If this is how it has to be." Onestar curled his tail around his paws.

"No!" Rowanstar snarled. "Never! My Clan is loyal to StarClan, and you will not make us!"

"I think Bramblestar's right," Mistystar meowed. "More than one cat has broken this rule, and I don't want to punish any of my cats for it."

"But this can't happen!" Rowanstar protested. "StarClan made the code, both codes, many moons ago, and I'm not giving up on it now."

"So you'll give up on it when Sol barges into your camp and tries to take over your leader?" Onestar's ear twitched. "But not now?"

Rowanstar flattened his ears yieldingly. "Fine. We'll announce it at tomorrow's Gathering."

Bramblestar nodded. "But for now, tell only your medicine cat. Do we have a deal?"

Onestar and Mistystar nodded, and Rowanstar mumbled his agreement. Bramblestar leapt off the Great Oak and padded back toward his camp. "Come, Squirrelflight." He beckoned his deputy with his tail.

Onestar beckoned Harespring, Mistystar summoned Reedwhisker, and Rowanstar called Crowfrost.

"Are we really doing this?" Squirrelflight murmured. "I mean, Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather hated Leafpool when they found out."

Bramblestar nodded. "There's no turning back now."
