Disclaimer: J.K Rowling owns everything you recognize.

Notes: The song made me think of magic, so I wrote Hermione witnessing magic for the first time. :) But, then, the darker side of me was like: "No! I no like fluffy! Fluffy bad!" So this is bordering on darkish, what with her future and everything and how magic can be used for bad and good and you might find it a bit…strange.

The magic flows from her hand,

Wispy,

Glowing,

Grand,

escaping through her fingers like

a thousand grains of sand.

It twists and turns in the air,

Elegant,

Dainty,

Fair,

And gently fades away,

As she can only stare.

She grins, and then she laughs,

At the beauty of it all,

And grips the wand tighter,

As if daring it to fall.

She does not know all it will do,

The power of love and hate,

Does not know, in this moment, now,

That she's fulfilling fate.

A new world has opened to her,

A world of fairy tales and dreams,

But what she doesn't know,

Is what's waiting in the wings.

A/N – Do y'see what I mean? I don't know what happened. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read, and I hope you enjoyed it!
