We share the final day together. They are splitting us up. They told us "You are not to see each other again after this or else" but we did it and now he is being forced to leave!
They are the only ones who know where he is going. We know the odds of seeing each other again. They are not very good.
We laugh and remember, play in the grass and finally the day is done. They kept us under lock-and-key since they told us. They did not want us to leave, to run away together.
They come to get him and I try to hold on to him but they grab me and pull me away. I can see them as they grab him as he tries to come after me. I yell and scream but it does no good. All I can do is collapse and cry. They let go but don't leave me here. Then as I start to calm down some, I hear him yell from down by the road on the other side of the yard and the house, "You'll always be my Juliet!"
So I stand up and yell back my answer to the line he has been using on me since we met, "And so I'll always love you, My Romeo!" One of the men who held me away from my one true love grabs on to my arm but let's go of me when I turn around and give him the glare that Romeo said "could kill anyone." I pick up Romeo's jacket, which I was wearing and walk up to my room, to rap up in his jacket and cry myself to sleep over him for as long as I live.
