Kagome shuffled around her room, looking for everything she would need. Which was only really one thing, so it shouldn't have taken long, but she was having trouble finding it. Finally, when her room looked like a tornado hit, she cried, "Aha!"

Chuckling to herself for her plan, she crept downstairs. Looking into the front room, she saw Kuwabara and Yusuke playing video games with Souta. She knew that Hiei was out in the Goshinboku, but she didn't see Kurama. She glanced into the kitchen and saw him sitting at the table, sipping some tea that her mom made before heading to the store. She smiled, heading to the door, before she thought of a chink in her plan. She stood there, scratching her head for a moment, before her eyes brightened with an idea.

"Kurama?" She asked as she walked into the kitchen. He looked up and smiled.

"Yes Kagome?" She stood for a moment before leaning against the table.

"Could you help me with something?" He was a little hesitant when he saw the sparkle in her eyes, as well as in her hands, but his curiosity got the better of him.

"Sure. What do you need?" She smiled in triumph, before quickly covering it.

"I'm going to climb up in the tree for a moment, and I'm going to need you to catch me and run really fast when I jump down." He raised an eyebrow, thinking about what she could be doing, though really, it was kinda obvious.

"Why can't you just climb back down?" he asked. She twiddled her thumbs for a moment, thinking up a cover story.

"Because there's a bird in the tree, and I want to not bother it and get down quickly." He hid a smile behind his hand.

"And the run away quickly part?" She made a slight face, trying to think something up.

"Um... because it, ah... It's an angry three-eyed bird that will want to eat me." He chuckled.

"Really?" She looked a bit nervous, before nodding her head vigorously. "And why would this bird be in the tree in the first place?"

"Uh..." He smiled.

"I'll help, but we'll go with my cover story, alright?" She smiled at him in thanks. He stood up, and the two of them headed outside. He gave her a hand up into the tree, and she started climbing. She located Hiei and carefully placed herself above him. She glanced down at Kurama to make sure he was still there before carefully unscrewing the lid to the container in her hand.

Glancing again to Kurama, then to the sleeping Hiei, she turned the container of red glitter upside down, showering Hiei with it. Turning quickly, she slid off the branch into Kurama's arms. The landing was a little harder than she anticipated, and she let out a loud "Oof!" Before they could take off, Hiei was looking down at them with an eyebrow raised.

Kagome looked at her position in Kurama's arms. One arm was around her legs, the other around her shoulders, and she was turned more towards him than normal. Her arms were around his neck, and his face was leaning down to see if she was all right. She could guess what they looked like to him. He smirked a bit, and Kagome slid out of Kurama's arms. Looking up, she could tell that Hiei was laughing at her. She stuck her tongue out at him and yelled, "It was the angry three-eyed bird!" before running into the house cackling. Hiei looked at Kurama, who sweat-dropped and walked inside. Hiei just rolled his eyes. "Women."
