I rapped a clenched fist on his door. There was no answer. I knocked again, harder this time. He opened the door slowly and saw me.
"What do you want, Hotaru?" he spat at me, clearly pissed.
I stared briefly at his aroused appearance; a grey singlet creased from sleep with matching black track-pants, messy raven hair sticking up on one side and lastly, a crimson glare.
"Good morning to you too, Natsume." I said sarcastically.
"Tch. Morning…" he grumbled back. "But really, what do you want?"
"For you to wake up your lazy girlfriend." I drawled.
"Can't you do it?"
"I've tried."
"Tried what?" he snapped, "Why do you want her awake so badly in the first place?".
"Everything! I've shot her with my baka-gun. I've poured ice on her. I yelled at her. Heck, I even got voice-based Alices to come in and work their magic. None of it worked." I stated.
I didn't bother waiting for an answer. I grabbed his wrist and dragged him over to Mikan's dorm. I pushed him towards the bed and placed myself beside Nonoko who was watching over her.
"Well?" I prompted.
I watched as he edged to her side and gently shook her shoulder. "Oi, wake up Polka." He said. Mikan grunted and turned over. Natsume sighed and shook her more forcefully.
"Don't make me do it, Mikan…" he whispered. There was only silence as a reply.
"Do what?" Nonoko asked sheepishly.
Natsume didn't answer. He bent down and his dark hair hid him and Mikan from view for a few seconds. When he straightened, there was a wriggle from Mikan and a… Giggle?
"Good morning…" she sang rather happily.
"It looks like the princess has finally awoken." I scoffed. "Good morning Sleeping Beauty." I added to her.
Mikan blushed. "Ehehehe…" She giggled shyly as Natsume hung his head in shame.
