"Hi. I'm Bella." said the mahogany haired girl who was linking arms with the boy next to her. The boy had russet hair and unusually golden eyes. They looked like molten gold. I looked at Bella again.
"Hi. I'm Demi." I replied, my eyes flickering back to the strange boy's face. He was staring intently at me. I shook hands with Bella. I reached out my hand to shake with the boy, but he made no response whatsoever. The only thing he said was, "Edward." I nodded. His voice was literally velvet.
"So, Demi, do you want to come over later?" she asked me. Edward looked at her, shocked.
"Umm, sure, I guess. What time?" I asked, stunned at how she was giving off such a positive vibe so early. People don't usually act this way towards me. I'm the weird new kid most of the time.
"How about 6 o'clock? Is that okay?"
"6 o'clock is great. I'll be there. I'm sure I can find something on MapQuest. Hopefully I can find my laptop charger." I replied. Bella giggled. I flashed a grin.
"I'll see you there!" said Bella with a departing wave. I waved back, walking to my car, a yellow X-Terra.
As soon as I was on the road, I looked up at the clouds. Weather isn't very good today, I thought. Then again, in Forks, the weather isn't very good ever. I chuckled quietly. Suddenly, I heard the roar of a motorcycle. My eyes widened. I didn't know much about motorcycles, but this one was pretty nice. My eyes got even wider at the sight of who was on it. He had honey blonde hair. Suddenly he turned to look at me. I gasped in surprise. He had the same golden eyes as Edward Cullen. As soon as the light turned green, he sped away.
