*laughs nervously* What am I doing writing another fanfic you asked? Well, um…I…
I WANTED TO.
I know I have more stories to do, but…I couldn't resist. This idea has been nagging at me for the longest time…! I couldn't help it. I really couldn't!
So…um, yeah. That's my excuse.
Wait…that's not an excuse at all…*laughs nervously again while backing away from the readers who want me to finish my other stories*
Um…I don't own the Sisters Grimm.
She wrung her hands nervously, gazing out at the sea of faces. Some were unfamiliar, and some were ones she had known for many years. It made her heart pang, seeing them like this. All staring at her, waiting for something.
Their faces…
"Are you ready?" a voice asks could hear the smirk in the voice, but it faded away as her posture stiffened.
"No," she responds truthfully. "I'm not. I'm scared. I don't think I can do this. No...I know I can't do this. This is too much."
"I've led them before," the voice says. "You've helped. Why is this any different?"
"I'm sorry, you've led them? I beg to differ!" she snaps, suddenly annoyed. The owner of the voice snickers at her reaction.
"Stop it, you two!" another voice says, this one from a little girl. "This is no time to be arguing. This is important." Under her breath, the girl mutters, "Geez, you're like a bunch of little kids! You haven't changed at all from all those years ago!"
Ignoring the little girl, she looks out at the sea of faces. She never knew if they were really with her. Up until a short while ago, most of these faces were ones she never thought she could trust. Now, they were her allies, the only reason she was probably still alive. She owed them her life, maybe even more than that.
"We can do this, Grimm," the first voice says. It was male, of course. She took notice that, in all the years that she had known him, it had grown deeper. It was odd, hearing his voice change like that when he swore to her he would never grow up.
He would always swear that he would remain a little boy, a child, forever.
Looking at him now, she wondered why that had suddenly changed as the years went by.
"I suppose so," she mutters quietly. "But…"
"No buts," the boy interrupts. "We can do this."
She looks out into the sea of faces again. An odd emotion shot through her, and she gripped her arm, trying to calm down.
"I hope you're right."
"Aren't I always?" he asks cockily, smirking.
She smiles slightly, before glancing out again into the sea of faces.
After so many years of knowing each other...after so many hardships...fate had finally led them here. She clenched her fists and tensed herself. The world had thrown many things at her...he was right; why was this any different?
Taking a deep breath, she uttered the two words that had kept her going through all the painful years, the painful years that had led her to this moment:
"Long live."
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE STORY WILL BE IN PAST TENSE. ONLY THE FIRST AND LAST CHAPTER WILL BE IN PRESENT TENSE.)
Sorry it's so freaking short…wish I could make it longer. *eye twitch* But I can't! I'd be giving too much away!
On the bright side, the other chapters will be much longer!
And hopefully better…
