Chapter 1: The Phone Call
It was a chilly fall afternoon. I was sitting at home drinking coffee while watching James and Phillipa play. It was then that I received a mysterious phone call. "Cobb, I have a problem." It was Saito. "Assemble your team, meet me at the Eiffel Tower, 7pm, this Saturday, I'll explain then. I'm going to need the best inceptors on this job." It was an abrupt phone call. It was obviously not because overseas calls were too expensive – Saito was one of the richest bastards I knew – and from the urgency in his voice, I knew it was something very important.
I immediately started dialling the numbers of my team. "Arthur, you'll have to cancel your wedding this Saturday. We have very important job. Bring Ariadne along too. Meet me at the Eiffel Tower on Saturday, 7pm." "Eames, Eiffel Tower, 7pm, this Saturday." "Yusuf, I need you for a job, Eiffel Tower, 7pm, this Saturday. Bring a variety of sedatives, I got a feeling that this is going to be a hard one."
