This is my first story.

I don't own anything. Which is really sad :(

Lisbon walked into the break room to find everyone busy. Rigsby was devouring a massive sub sandwich, Van Pelt was picking at a salad, Cho was drinking yet another coffee and Jane was waiting for his tea to draw.

They were talking about their latest case; three dead identical quads with the forth being kidnapped shortly after being checked up by EMT's. The fourteen year olds were daughters of the wealthy founder of Rosewood Inc. James Rosewood who runs Resorts, Cruises, and pretty much anything to do with holidaying.

Jane was certain it wasn't the missing teen who had murdered her sisters, but she knows who did, quite well. Van Pelt was worried about the fourth girl, Rigsby really looked like he wanted to thump something, Cho had he expressionless face on but he too was worried about the forth girl and Lisbon just really wanted to finish this case as the media attention was increasing by the hour.

Out of nowhere a man, appeared leaning against the doorway blocking everyone in, he seemed somewhat familiar but no one could place him. He was laughing, manically.

"Excuse me sir but..." that's all Lisbon got out before, the man pulled out a gun, and before anyone could react he fired six shots and took off towards the elevator with Lisbon hot on his heels. Rigsby was hit three times both the shoulders and the torso, the forth shot barely missed Van Pelt, the fifth shot hit Jane's cup of tea and the final shot was lodged in the fridge door.

Lisbon had the gunman pinned on the ground just outside the door; Cho was explaining the situation to emergency services, Jane was standing in the exact the same position with the same expression and Van Pelt was on the floor putting pressure on Rigsby's main wound.

"Rigsby, Rigsby, stay with me." Van Pelt was fighting back tears.

"I… I see a light, it's pulling me in" Rigsby said faintly.

"Stay away from the light" Van Pelt pleaded with him.

"I'm kidding, I don't see any light, and I just see you and the break room from a new angle." Rigsby said laughing, coughing and spluttering.

"Don't be an idiot Rigsby." Lisbon shouted from the corridor.

The EMTs arrived and within what seemed like seconds the barely breathing Rigsby was being loaded into an ambulance.

"One of you can go with him," The EMT told the group as they watched from the front entrance.

"Van Pelt, go" Lisbon said in a knowing voice.

"Me, really I…I" Van Pelt stammered embarrassed a little.

"Van Pelt, I know about you and Rigsby, I am not stupid. GET IN THE VAN" Lisbon said ordered.

"Oh … right then" a flushed Van Pelt gave in as she hopped inside the ambulance.
