Harry is a rare male veela looking for his mate and having to deal with his ex. who is obsessed is with being with him. Wrote something similar to this but wasn't happy with it so I'm trying again. No Draco this time. But still Ginny bashing. Harry and Hermione pairing (ONLY) - This is just a one shot preview/explanation kind of thing. Story will come later.

So this is my new redone story of a previous one that I became unhappy with. There are some changes, such as Draco not being a mate.

~ Veela ~

Veelas are a race of beings that are magical humans and are also related to Sirens. Typically they are female and are know for being very beautiful, using their looks and voice to achieve their goals. Men have been known to act irrationally when a Veela is around attempting to gain her attention and affections. A notable exception to this is if the man is already in love with someone else.

But Veelas themselves spend their lives looking for their one true mate and they will accept no others. Once their mate has been found a Veela will do whatever they can to please and protect their mate. For the Veela it is very important for the mate to accept them and allow them to mark them otherwise the Veela will die of a broken heart.

The mate is naturally unaffected by the Veelas alluring charm.

Mates are usually of the opposite sex but on rare occasions the mate may be of the same sex.

But even rarer are male Veelas. Only one has been recorded in the last two thousand years.

Warning ~ Veelas can be very dangerous especially when protecting their mate, becoming stronger and faster than a normal human.
