Kit and Nita are transported into the Atlantis Galaxy and Universe due to a freak gating accident. When they arrive at Atlantis, they face a tough decision: whether to help the Atlantis team in the fight against the Wraith or not.

Nita closed the end of the wizard's knot and looked at her work critically. Ever since the more detailed side of wizardry had become her specialty after Dariane's Ordeal, she was still best with living creatures. No one was really a specialist in intergalactic transport, and why she had to go to the Pegasus galaxy was a mystery, even to her.

"How's it look, Kit?"

Kit Rodriguez walked over to her. Twelve years old, he and Nit had survived their respective Ordeals, and had seen Dariane through hers. He is slightly taller than Nita, but has a distinct Spanish accent.

"Looks good, Neets" he said sanguinely, checking over the glowing characters in the Speech that represented who he was. Nita, equally critical of her own name, made one more check before being satisfied.

"Remind me again why were doing this?" said Kit, smiling sarcastically.

Nita internally groaned. They had gone through this a couple of times, yet still he persisted.

"Because," she said, "The Pegasus supervisor has something that he needs a lot of wizards to troubleshoot on. A lot of wizards. This was – is an optional trip. You really should read the manual fully sometimes, you know."

Nit flipped open her manual, revealing the assignment.

To: All interested wizards in Milky Way Galaxy

From: Pegasus Galactic Supervisor 50 /- .20

To ALL interested wizards. A minor dimensional event has caused some instability in the Alpha Quadrant of the Pegasus Galaxy, but has subsequently healed. All wizards who wish to come to investigate (rift team has pronounced site safe) the cause of this phoneme on may do so. Travel is fully subsidized, and will be via your planet's gating hub to the nearest Galactic Hub.

"Not very informational, I'll admit, but we did agree to come – and we can't break that promise," said Nita.

Words are everything to a wizard – they are how he/she controls magic, by using the Speech. So wizards don't mess around with words because they might slip into the Speech and accidentally change something real.

"Geez, I know that," said Kkit

"Okay then, let's go"

They stepped through the gate together.

Author's Note: OK, lame chapter, I know. I haven't written fanfiction recently, but this idea was just something I had to write about – I couldn't get it out of my head.
