For Seamus Finnegan and Lavender Brown, the Yule Ball was a wonderful night. The whole place was beautiful; and, as far as Seamus was concerned, Lavender was the most beautiful girl at the entire ball. They danced their feet off that night, and they shared their first kiss.

After they started, they never failed to go the annual Dumbledore's Army reunions. Granted, they were once late; but, it was only because Lavender was convinced, even though it was the DA, she had to put on twenty pounds of muggle-make-up to cover her scars. By the time they had got there, they had already started the songs.
It was a wonderful night. They saw people they hadn't seen in so long., caught up on old news, and they danced. It was the first time they had danced since Hogwarts. The only thing that bothered Seamus about that night was that Lavender was so self-conscious about herself and especially her scars. It was even the case around people like Parvati and Dean.
Immediately after they said their goodbyes at the reunion that night, Seamus side-along apparated Lavender to a somewhat secluded spot by the river. Seamus started to skip some rocks he had found. Somewhat absentmindedly, he started telling Lavender how she shouldn't be ashamed. Lavender laughed and rolled her eyes. She told her he sounded like Bill Weasley, who she had met just after her attack and was always telling her things like that. Seamus agreed, but also agreed that if Lavender was depressed like this her whole life, she would waste her life away. Seamus talked about a lot of things like that that night. That was the night Lavender realized Seamus wasn't going to leave her.
It was all those crazy ideas Seamus had pounded into her head that convinced Lavender to stop hiding her scars. She also loved it when Seamus took her out. They both smiled when they caught people staring, and then laughed when they quickly looked away. It was on one of these outings to a fancy, black-tie restaurant that Seamus finally popped the question. It was beautiful; Lavender would never forget how they danced once they got out of that place. Lavender told Seamus he was crazy, he said he knew, but he would always be sane as long as he had her. That night, Lavender dreamed of their future; their wedding, their life together, a few kids that would be as positive about life as Seamus was, it would be perfect.
The wedding of Seamus and Lavender Finnigan was a beautiful occasion. Nobody that was there could deny that they were madly in love. When they danced, nobody that saw Lavender saw her scars, they only saw her as the beautiful bride that she was. It was if they danced on air. Every day after that, they would never forget to dream, to hope, to be positive about life. Because that was what had brought them together, that was what kept them together, that was why they loved each other.
