Where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me,
She gone to heaven, so I have to be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
Oh we were out on a date in my daddy's car,
We hadn't driven very far,
Where there in the road straight ahead,
A car was stalled, the engine was dead,
I couldn't stop so I swerved to the right,
I'll never forget the sounds that night,
The screaming tires, the busted glass,
The painful scream that I heard last.
Oh where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me,
So I have to be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
When I woke up, the rain was pouring down,
There were people standing all around,
Something warm going though my eyes,
But somehow I found my baby that night,
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said,
"Hold me Darling just a little while,"
I held her close, kissed her our last kiss,
I found the love that I knew I had missed,
Well now she's gone even though I hold her tight,
I lost my love, my life that night
It's been exactly five months, five months to the day that was supposed too be the happiest of her life. It was the day that I was going to ask Hermione Granger to become my wife.
It was our first date where we were going to be totally alone. I think that she knew I was going to propose that night because she let me drive my fathers new muggle car, instead of using the floo powder (she didn't want all the dust on her beautiful new red dress).
I had just picked her up from the Burrow where she was now living with my mum, helping her with Fred and George who got their brains scrambled by Voldemort. I had come all the way from London where I was sharing a flat with Harry as we trained to be aurors.
That when 'mione noticed it, a car not too far ahead that was just sitting in the middle of the road, it was stalled, or that's what it looked like. I swerved to the right so that I would take the brunt of the impact. But that didn't matter, my sweet 'mione was still thrown from the car, but not by the force of the impact, but by a spell that the Deatheaters had put on the "stalled" car. I was knocked out but when I woke up I heard her crying, she was in trouble and she knew that the mediwizards couldn't get here in time to save her. So she said "hold me Darling just a little while…"
I crawled over to her and I held her, I held her and I kissed her as much as I could. I could feel her energy draining out her; so I asked her to be my wife right then and there, I wanted her to be able to call herself Hermione Weasley before she died, no matter how short a time that was. She had just said, "I do" when I felt her go slack in my arms. That was it my Hermione was gone. My beautiful, stubborn, smart wife was gone, taken from me. Her parents wanted to have a muggle catholic funeral for her, and Harry said that that was for the best, but he got Mr. and Mrs. Granger to agree to Hermione buried just down the road from Burrow so that I could visit her any time that I wanted. Her funeral was overflowing with people, a lot of former Hogwarts students were there, even that bloody prat Malfoy came to pay his respects, and he was genuinely sorry that I had lost Hermione…

"Its been five months my 'mione, and I still miss you. I'm so glad that I got to be your husband, even for those few short moments. I love you Hermione Weasley, and I wait for the day when I can see you again…"
"I'm right here Ron…"
"Bloody Hell Hermione!"
