"Here, kitty kitty." The man was blonde and tall, and spoke in a sing-song voice.
"Shut up John, stop screwing around." Man number 2 was taller with brown hair. In his hands was a long, shiny black gun.
He called into the bushes I was hiding in; "We don't want to hurt you, so stop playing around and come out."
Nope, I'm good here thanks.
Suddenly I had a vision. I was crouched down behind the shrubs, watching the men turn around when a large green hand landed on my shoulder. "I got her."
I sprang out the bush and whirled around in time to see a green man leap from a tree and land in my ex-hiding spot.
Although my (not so) sneaky manoeuvre prevented me being caught by slime-boy, it also drew tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum's attention back to me. Oops.

The kid stared wide eyed at us for a second before shooting into the forest. Shit. "C'mon Pyro, before she reaches the main road!" We sprinted after her and it didn't take long before she was in my firing range; I aimed and fired, but at the exact moment I pulled the trigger she hit the floor. I frowned as she scrabbled back up and threw herself behind a tree, just in time to miss John's fireball.
"Huh. I thought Magneto said her ability wasn't developed?" Pyro scowled at me.
"Hey, not my fault! And where the hell is Toad?"
"Aghr!" I turned round in time to see Toad get kicked in the crotch by the girl. My shot barely missed her as she dove behind another tree.
This was getting annoying.
"Jesus Christ! There's only one of her and three of us! Do something!" I raised my eyebrows at Toad as he staggered towards us.
"That's rich coming from someone clutching his balls in pain; I thought you were supposed to have enhanced agility."
"She saw me coming; it's cheating!"
We were interrupted by Pyro yelling "She's getting away!" Shit. The kid dodged every bullet and fireball sent her way as we chased her through the muddy forest. It was only when Toad pounced in front of her, did she skid to a stop.
We quickly surrounded her. She was panting and her hair was covered in sweat and twigs, she had cuts in her jeans and tears running down her face.
I raised my gun and fired.
