It was raining, that's all she can remember from that night. Rain the way it pounded against the windows in the apartment, how now she wishes that the rain was what had woken her up.

If that where the case she wouldn't be sitting here, at 3am, thinking about what to say at the eulogy, how do you eulogise somebody who had meant so much to you, had become your whole world, in such a short amount of time.

Everyone offered condolences once they knew what had happened, her unit had been by her side. But even they couldn't help her, she had become a shell of herself, and she wasn't sure she could ever get back to the person she was, this had changed her for sure.

She put the pen down, and walked away from the kitchen table and over to the fridge, opening it, bypassing the water, wine, beer, and straight for the hard stuff.

Once she had poured the vodka into a glass, and downed the first one, the rest of the night is a blur, and she wakes up in the morning wrapped in her throw from the couch, on her couch, she didn't even remember getting there.

She looks over to the fireplace, and she sees the photos that litter the shelf, and again the tears come, and all Erin Halstead can think about is how much she wants to stop crying, crying was for weak and broken people she used to think, but now she was just as weak and just as broken as she was when she was 15.

She always knew she wouldn't get her happily ever after no matter how badly she wanted it.

Its 9am when she hears the key in the lock, and she knows, that its him, and hes checking up on, part of her is grateful but other parts just wishes he would leave her alone, he of all people should know how much she needs to be alone at the moment.

"Hey" is simply all he says as he crouches down at the side of the couch, running his hand over her head, as she just states ahead the mantel piece where all the photos are sitting. Her eyes falling on the one in the middle, and again for what feels like the thousandth time that week, the tear well up and before she can stop them she is crying into his arms, and she feels like she's never going to stop.

So I know this is very short, I just wanted to put this out there and see what reaction it gets, I know what direction this story is going in. So please keep an open mind as to what has happened. I would love to hear what theories you all have.
