How Do You Feel?
It was dark. Stars were in the sky and the moon hovered close to a scarred planet. A place where Squall Leonhart and Rinoa Heartilly had fallen for each other. They had found each other out of millions; it was almost like picking a star from the heavens. For now the sorceress and knight were in each other's embrace. Rinoa looking deathly pale and Squall astonished at this feeling of closeness she gave him. But, suddenly out of the bushes sprang Quistis Trepe, a confused and misunderstood girl who had been through too much. A gun was held in her hand and her hair was in a mess, she wore a purple evening dress that blended into the night. Though her features were hidden by the dark if you could see them they looked pissed.
"…Quistis." Rinoa said with fear and shock.
"Who else, Rinoa." Squall said in disgust.
"Oh, Squall your courtesy towards others as usual has given you away." Quistis said brushing a loose strand of blonde hair out of her way.
"And what are you planning to do with that gun?" Squall asked shielding Rinoa from her sight.
"You've known I always loved you, Squall. Even when I went off Seifer that night… It was always you."
"So what, Quistis? Why now? This is stupid and we know you're just doing this for attention. That's why you went off with Seifer. Stupid girl." Rinoa said pushing Squall out of her way.
"Shut up, Rinoa." Quistis said shaking from the cold.
"Quistis, this isn't the way." Squall said trying to stay calm.
"She doesn't deserve you, I deserve you." She steadied the gun in her hand.
"You can't be serious," Rinoa backed away.
The gun suddenly fired for Rinoa, but Squall jumped in the way and was hit instead. He fell to the ground and uttered only a grunt. Rinoa looked on horrified as blood covered her. Her face was blank and in a daze she bent down to support the fallen Squall. She cradled his head like she had done before, but this time it would for the last time.
"Fuck," Squall uttered.
Quistis approached the two; she didn't know what had happened. She watched as his breathing got slower and finally he closed his eyes on Quistis. The gun dropped from her hands.
"I love you Squall." Quistis said as she scrambled for the gun again. She put it to her head.
"No… No more of this." Rinoa pleaded, but the trigger was pulled.
"How do you feel?" Her face went dead. All the life looked drained from it and she lied there in a crumpled form, buy her face was smiling.
Then Rinoa picked up the gun and did the same L
The End.
