Ianto was tossing and turning in his bed. It had been 2 months, 29 days, 17 hours and 14 minutes since Jack disappeared, and Ianto hadn't had much sleep over that period of time.

Let me sleep,

For when I sleep,

I dream that you are here,

You're mine.

Ianto knew that Jack would never be his and only his.

And all my fears are left behind.

When Jack was around, Ianto felt safe, and everything he feared was gone.

I float on air,

The nightingale sings gentle lullabies,

So let me close my eyes.

Ianto didn't know when he'd last slept through the night since Jack left.

And sleep per chance to dream,

So I can see the face I long to touch,

To kiss,

But only dreams can bring me this.

All Ianto wanted to do was sleep, and dream about Jack. A dream where he could touch and kiss him and just be in his arms.

So let the moon,

Shine softly on the boy I long to see.

Jack always did look good in the moon light, when Ianto had found him on some roof top looking over Cardiff.

And maybe when he dreams,

He'll dream of me.

How Ianto hoped Jack was thinking and/or dreaming of him.

I hide beneath the clouds.

Well it might not have been clouds he was hiding beneath, but he did spend a lot of his time in the archives.

And whisper to the evening star,

They tell me love is just a dream away,

Dream away,

I'll dream away.

Ianto really did love Jack, and would for a long time. Jack might have left but for some reason Ianto felt like he would be back soon.

It was night and Ianto was on a mission with the rest of the team. Some bloody blowfish, who shot a guy and was holding a girl hostage. Okay who shot the blowfish? Ianto turned around.

So let the moon,

Shine softly on the boy I long to see,

And maybe when he dreams,

He'll dream of me.

Ianto's heart beat so fast he thought he was gonna faint. Jack! Jack was there, standing in the moonlight. Ianto didn't know whether to smile or break down crying. Jack was really there. He had come back. Jack had come back to him.
