Okay, so, this is the first time I've written Numbuh 5 and I'm not really all that sure of how I did. This is pretty much how I have to act with my friends at school- I thought Numbuh 5 fit the role pretty well. My normal thing is still in place: please NO FLAMES.
Disclaimer: All I own is the plot to this pointless little story
Anyway, please enjoy.
It's Tough To Be The Mom
She could've been sitting in her room, flipping through a magazine, listening to her music, but no. She had to be standing here, in the living room of the Treehouse, arms folded, foot tapping, staring down her two friends.
"What happened?" Numbuh 5 of Sector V asked.
In unison Numbuhs 3 and 4 yelled, "He/ She started it!"
Numbuh 5 sighed, "Numbuh 5 didn't ask who started it, she asked what happened. Now, which one of y'all is gonna tell Numbuh 5?"
"Hey, you're not the boss of us!" shouted Numbuh 4.
"Oh, yes I am. Numbuh 5 is second in command, and that means that when Numbuh 1is at the Moonbase, Numbuh 5 is in charge. Now which one of you is gonna tell me what happened?"
"Numbuh 4 yelled at me!" Numbuh 3 whined.
"She changed the channel while I was watching wrestling!" Numbuh 4 defended.
Numbuh 5 nodded her head appraisingly, "Now, Numbuh 3, did you ask before you changed the channel?"
Sheepishly, the oriental girl admitted, "No… I wasn't really paying attention."
"And Numbuh 4, what did you say to Numbuh 3?"
"I… I called her an annoying , cruddy girl."
"I see," Numbuh 5 paused to think about her approach. "Numbuh 3, next time try to pay a little more attention and ask before you change the channel." Spotting Numbuh 4's slightly smug look, Numbuh 5 switched her attention to him. "And Numbuh 4, next time think about how your words will affect someone before you say them."
Both operatives hung their heads and Numbuh 5 softened. She smiled, "Now, what do you think you two should say to each other?"
"I'm sorry, Numbuh 4, I shouldn't have changed the channel without asking," Numbuh 3 apologized.
"It's fine," Numbuh 4 said, adding a hasty, "I shouldn't have yelled at ya Numbuh 3," after a prodding look from Numbuh 5.
"There, now, hug it out," Numbuh 5 commanded and felt some sort of satisfaction at how both operatives cheeks flushed. She left the living area and started to go back to her room, but met Numbuh 2 in the hallway.
"Nicely done, mom," he said teasingly.
She rolled her eyes at him, "Yeah, yeah, but it's your turn next time, dad."
With that she sauntered her way back to her room and Numbuh 2 flinched as he could already hear the brewing of another argument.
Well, there ya go. Hope you liked it. Reviews are nice, but no flames please.
Sorry if Numbuh 5 was off.
Have a nice day.
