Naruto was laying on the grass looking up at the stars. "I finally met you mom and you were everything I thought you would be." he whispered. A lone crystal tear drifted down from his left eye and fell to the ground.
Yamato sat a few feet away watching the flames dance from the fire. Every so often he would look at Naruto. The other leaf ninja had also heard the fox say Kushinas name but had said nothing. Yamato cleared his thought "Naruto are you feeling okay?" Naruto looked at him for a moment then resumed looking at the stars.
"Yamato sensei did you know my mother?" he asked Yamato shook his head. "I didn't know her personally but I did know of her. You should ask Kakashi as he was your fathers student so I would imagine that he did know your mother."
Naruto nodded from his prone position. Then he looked off to the right where the sounds of his clones could be heard training or sparring. Several were working on getting the rasengan one handed while others were doing chakra walking exercises. The other Leaf ninja were either asleep in their tents or sitting around the campfire speaking in low tones as to not disturb Naruto.
After he checked on his clones Naruto closed his eyes and relived the entire conversation with his mother. In all of his life Naruto could not think of anytime when he was as happy as he was then except for the time he had spoken to his father after he had unleashed all 9 of the foxes tails when he was fighting pein.
After a while Naruto got up and waded into field of sparring grunting Shadow Clones and started to dispel them AKA Tear them apart using up his frustration and grief over his parents deaths so long ago. After he dispersed all the clones and endured the rush of memories he returned to the fire and went to sleep.
That night he dreamed of his parents and woke up crying in the morning. "as soon as I am done here and return to Konoha I will go talk to Kakashi sensei about my mother" Naruto vowed. "hey Naruto come on we have work to do" Killerbee shouted. For the first time in a while Naruto smiled "right lets get to work."
