One Shot

Azula sighed.

She was suppose to be studying some war strategies, even though the day was warm and bright. Although the tempting promise of a warm day wasn't the only distraction to the princess.

Sitting in one of the secluded rooms of the palace couldn't even stop her 'friend' from finding her.

"There you are!" The smaller, brown haired girl squealed.

Azula gritted her teeth, the fire coursing through her blood. She took a deep breath, calming her anger before she could lash out. She was suppose to be the smaller girls friend, though it didn't seem like that to her.

Azula looked towards the smaller girl, not meeting her eyes when she hissed, "Ty Lee, I am trying to work. We can play later."

"But you always have to work," Ty Lee said, pouting.

There was a hint of a sob in the other girls voice, making Azula feel a light tug at her heart. "Later, Ty Lee," She said, gentler this time.

Ty Lee didn't answer. The brunette kept quiet, although her movements became the new distraction for Azula. Doing a handstand, Ty Lee flipped her long braided hair away from her face so that she could look at Azula.

Scorching gold met soft grey as the two girls locked eyes.

"Shouldn't you be somewhere," Azula said, breaking the unnerving silence.

Ty Lees smile dropped for a second, the girl recovering quickly with a fake smile plastered on her face. Though Azula wasn't fooled by her friend, she already knew what the problem was with the brunette.

"They won't even notice," Ty Lee answered.

Azula rolled her eyes. She was going to ask why she didn't bug Mai, though she felt scared of her answer. Turning to look back down at her scroll, Azula tried to look busy as Ty Lee flipped in the air.

Ty Lee, noticing that Azulas attention wasn't on her, went into another handstand. She took some steps backwards before going forwards. Azula looked at the cheerful girl as the girl walked near to her. Azula smirked as she looked at her friends still childish looking round face. Her tongue was sticking out of the side of her mouth as she tried to concentrate on walking on her hands.

"What?" Ty Lee asked when she turned her face towards Azula.

The princess just sighed as she looked away. "Oh, nothing."

Ty Lee went back to focusing on her trick, wondering about the evil tone in her friends voice was for. The girl gasped when she felt something push her side. She fell backwards, groaning as she found herself laying with her back on the floor.

Azula stood over her, smirking. Ty Lee grinned sheepishly, as she started to get up. Azula pushed her back down, pinning the smaller girl to the floor. "Azula-" Ty Lee said, her voice getting cut off when she felt the princess' lips touch her own.

Pulling back, Azula went back to her scroll. She picked it up, looking at a dumbfounded sitting Ty Lee with a bored expression on her face. "I guess we can play now," Azula said, smirking. "Unless you aren't still up for it."

Azula walked out of the door, the smirk fading when she remembered what she had done. She had kissed her best friend, who was also a girl, and it went against the code.

It was just improper for her.

But she would do it again, despite the consequences.

AN: Shorter one shot, though this one should have made a bit more sense. Yeah, next fic out should be a story, though I am unsure of the pairing.

It's between Ty Zula (again), Ty Luko, or Ty Lokka.
