Rachel walked into the music room to grab her bag after glee rehearsal and for the second time that week faced a small group of her fellow glee clubbers.

"Listen Girl," Mercedes sighs, " We heard that you dumped Jesse, and I know how much you liked him but there will be other chances, other boys this is OUR ONLY chance to win regionals, or glee is done."

"And even though it was obvious that he was playing you, I guess we can show some amount of sympathy for your plight." Kurt states matter of factly.

"W-what I think Kurt and Mercedes are trying to say," Tina stutters "Is t-that we know it was hard for you and we are sorry."

"But it WAS the right thing to do, for the team we mean."Artie chimes in.

The whole group nods in unison as if that is exactly what they were trying to get at. Rachel stares back at them baffled. What were they expecting? Did they honestly think that practically insulting her, and a half baked apology was going to fix things?

The huddle of Rachel's "friends" look at her expectantly, awaiting her forgiveness.

"What is it exactly that you expect me to say here?," Rach asks politely, "Am I supposed to say to you all that it is one hundred percent fine that you forced me to dump the first guy in a long time that hasn't found me or my talent overwhelming?"

The glee clubbers glance at one another, and the answer is evident. " I see," Rachel says quietly " Well as much as I appreciate the outpouring of sympathy shown to me, I must politely decline your offer of reconciliation."

"What?" Mercedes and Kurt bark bewildered.

"Why don't you f-forgive us?" Tina questions bravely.

"Well," Rachel muses " as I recall, I stood before you all in this very room several days earlier and begged you to let me see how far Jesse and I could go, because I know how difficult a person I am, and I also know not many chances for love will ever come my way, due to the grueling schedule of my future stardom. Yet not a single one of you seemed to bat an eye at my plea.'' Rachel pauses taking in their looks of confusion and anger. "And now I ask you, if it had been you in my position would you want to forgive people who under the pretense of team spirit, basically stated that no one could have genuine feelings for you without an agenda, because you are that heinous?" The entire group looks at Rachel realizing that how they handled the situation may have been a little hurtful. "I thought so." Rachel huffs grabbing her bag off the piano bench, and heading towards the door.

Before she makes her final exit she looks over her shoulder and says almost sounding as if she were going to cry, " By the way I was actually happy. For the first time in a long time, I was actually really really happy. Not that that seems to matter to any of you."

After the door slams shut Artie, Tina, Kurt, and Mercedes looked at one another, it seems as though their Drama Queen has a human side after all too bad they had to break her heart to see it...
