Lisanna was very happy to come back from Edolas, to the place she used to call home. She could not believe the guild was still the same; as if nothing had changed, despite her being gone for years. She felt she was drowning in sweet memories of her childhood; where she used to laugh, play and raise Happy with Natsu. She then realized how much she had missed this beautiful guild. She had matured into a grown, stunning lady, but her heart and soul were still the same. She still loved Fairy Tail and the guild mates that she called family.

However, she realized that not everything remained the same and she would not deny that the deep longing for love was still there. She knew she had her siblings by her side, but nobody could replace Natsu. She had such a bond with him— a complete bond. But it just seemed the bonds slowly faded away as Lucy came into their lives. However, Lisanna would not blame anyone. It was not Lucy's fault, nor anyone's fault that she had been missing for years.

During Grand Magic Games, Lisanna decided to muster her courage to run towards Natsu and called him in a wedding dress. "Natsu, do you remember our promise when we were still kids?" She asked timidly with the hope that he would still remember.

However, the excitement in her eyes faded when she read the confused look upon his face. Suddenly, Lucy and Loki bumped into Natsu from behind. "Lucy!" Natsu groaned. However, the warmth of his eyes when he looked at Lucy were contradicting the sound of annoyance in his tone. Lisanna finally had come to understand that he didn't share the special, mutual feeling with her. She just smiled at them, despite how much it hurt. She might never be able to understand his heart, but if happy was Lucy, she would try to be happy for him.

Sometimes she was still hoping that Natsu would take her for a mission with the rest of team Natsu, but he never did. It just seemed that he had forgotten their friendship. She would just look at him from afar as she watched the team Natsu left for a mission. She would just clench her fist and bit her lower lip, thinking what a coward she was for not asking him if she could join him. She had never felt so abandoned like this before— she just missed him so much. Did his tears when he saw her in Edolas mean nothing? How could he easily forget their friendship?

After few days of a mission, Team Natsu eventually came back to the guild.

"Lisanna!" Natsu called out to her as he was running towards her with excitement in his eyes.

"Yes?"

"Here, I found it during the road trip to the guild and I thought you might like it!" Natsu said cheerfully as he held a kitten in his arms.

Lisanna's eyes lit up at the sight of the adorable creature. "This is for me?"

Natsu nodded. "I saw this cat abandoned in the street, but then I remember how excited you were when you saw Happy for the first time. I'm not sure if you still like cats, but Lucy convinced me to bring it to you," he explained as he pointed out Lucy who waved at Lisanna as she was still talking to Levy.

Lisanna waved back and smiled at Lucy. Tears welled up behind her eyelids as a feeling of indescribable joy filled her heart. He might have moved on with Lucy, but nothing could ever replace the warm feeling of trust and friendship that they shared.

THE END

A/N: I'm annoyed with the whole idea of Lucy being kicked out of the team or left the team as she felt abandoned because Lisanna came back. If anything, Lisanna was the one who felt lonely and abandoned after years of her disappearance and yeah I'm also annoyed when people bashing Lisanna. I mean come on, she was such a sweetheart! And special thanks to a wonderful beta reader: Svane Vulfbad :)
