I awoke from my slumber to what seemed to resemble the noise of conglomerate rubbing against shale stone. I got on my knees and splashed some mafic rhyolitic magma in my eyes to see what was going on. I cleared my raspy thought with a glass of ground water and proceeded to survey the situation. "Ahh what's goin on here?" I asked God. God is my best friend I met in World War II. We met in a special way. Me and my platoon went five clicks north west of our camp. Not long after we came over the hill and were ambushed. We approached the treeline as I heard a bang in my left ear. This was one of the first times I practiced my special powers.
"Rock mode activate!" I Yelled. Fear instantly moved through the crowd of Japs like the aftershock of an earthquake. "Form Diamond!" I exclaimed. My Skin felt tight and I could feel myself turn into a mineral starting from my feet. I instantly became a non-organic material that could be mined for a profit. I rolled at them at a high velocity absorbing led like the outer part of the mantle. This let my platoon push up to the treeline as the Japs fled into the jungle. One jap was left in an oblong palm tree. I turned back into human form and used my biceps to scale the large natural resource. When I reached the top of the tree I used the fronds to pull myself onto the platform my new friend was crouching on. He had his hands on the back of his head. "Go" I demanded. "Leave this place before I erode you to death!" He slid down the tree with each rib in the trunk making a loud "thump thump thump". Little did I forget at the time that the tree was a living organism and it knew me like every other living thing from the earths crust. The tree became erect instantly and shot me up in the air like the Strokkur Geyser in Iceland. "I'm ah really in a pickle now" I muttered as I entered the mesosphere. When i hit the climax of the jump I decided to get rid of my gravitational pull because it was holding me back.
Swiftly I landed in a stratus cloud. For a couple hours I sat in the cloud looking at the water vapor in the atmosphere with my hydro-thermal eye sight when I noticed a heat signature. When I clicked it off I saw an old man flying towards me on a cloud. "Ahh, slow down there buster, don't want to reverse the rotation of the planet do ya?" I said wittingly. The man then spoke to me. "Hey Greg" he said. "Buddy ahh, how do you know my name?" I asked. "I made you once" he proceeded "you were originally going to be an inorganic material found in earths crust but something went wrong. Your genes have made you into some kind of super human rock. I have to say Greg that I put you on this earth for a mission. In a long time you will be called upon by me and I will give you a set of tasks to your moral agenda. I have faith in you Greg." He said "Ahh well how long is a long time because oil is estimated to dry up in about ten thousand years which isn't really a long time because the earth has been around for four and a half billion years and limitations of our human abilities to us-" "GREG" He interrupted. "You will know when the time comes." This experience would come to be my divine geological atmospheric lecture as I ended the conversation by diving off the cloud as precipitation. When I got back to the stratosphere it was 38 decrees Fereignhieght so I luckily didn't freeze to death. I wouldn't call it abandonment but I landed in a volcano and decided to live there for about 40,000 years. And this is where I am now I thought. Just then a large tree came down straight for me from the top of the crater interrupting my latest flash back. "Talk about morning wood." I said.
