Preparations
Hiroto Hoshi walked though the dim-lit hallway, his footsteps but a faint sound on the ground.
He was a member of a secret organization, designed to succeed where their foe George Simmons had failed.
Hiroto stopped at a large door and knocked three times. A soft voice gave him permission to enter.
Upon entering, Hiroto glimpsed at his captain of this facility.
Naomi Natsuki was a young woman in her early twenties, brown hair fell to her waist in beautiful curls, her cerulean eyes were striking behind the frames of her glasses and held the faintest glimmer of distaste in them.
"You wanted to see me Madame Natsuki?" Hiroto asked.
"Yes. What is the status of Project: Red Dawn?" Naomi asked, facing Hiroto.
"Project Red Dawn is well underway. Soon we will be able to start advertising on television. The techs need yet to hack into military satellites, but have assured me that if Cinq Flèches was able to use military satellites so should we. Our scientists have successfully captured a chiropteran beast to use in our program and are currently keeping it sedated. Weaponry to defeat the chiropterans is almost operational and should be ready within the week," Hiroto reported.
"How is the observation of the Miyagusuku family going?" Naomi inquired.
"It goes well. The chiropteran family suspects nothing amiss," he replied.
"Good. You are dismissed Hiroto," Naomi said, with a wave of her hand beckoning him to leave.
Hiroto bowed respectively then hastily left the room.
Naomi turned to her left and opened up a drawer in her desk. Inside said drawer were pictures of her family, alongside any old mementos she still had on her.
Picking up a small picture, Naomi looked to the male with grey hair and eyes. Her brother...killed by those nasty chiropterans only one year ago.
"George...I will avenge you...and our parents. But where you failed brother, I will succeed. You tried to control the chiropterans to rule the world, but I will simply have them destroyed. You were always the rash one, charging in and thinking later; look where it got you brother," Naomi smiled sadly.
Their parents had died at the hands of chiropterans only ten years ago. The giant beasts attacked their home, killing their parents and leaving her and George wounded.
The Red Shield had arrived before the beast could kill them. A tall man dressed in all black, his long hair tied back with a ribbon, had killed the beast. She and George were taken in by the Red Shield to heal.
The organization had given their condolences on the death of their parents, but that did not stop the fact that it was their fault.
If they had gotten there sooner...or better yet eliminated the threat before any of that had happened...
Naomi's eyes were as hard as steel as she smiled wickedly.
I will have my revenge on you and your race chiropteran queens...just you watch Naomi thought evilly.
Sorry if this chapter is short! I don't know when I'll update because I work 30+ hours a week now and am exhausted afterwards (depending on how busy the day is). I promise not to leave you hanging though :)
