A.N/- My version of how Going South ended... Loved the Melvester in this episode! (Don't forget that awesome Waige moment ;))

Team Scorpion was exhausted. They had been to Mexico, gotten 2 million stolen, gotten shot at (twice actually) saved Zoey, and came back to L.A., all in one day. Sylvester had gone to see Megan, and Walter went to work on the rocket while Paige, Toby, and Happy were basically having a party in the next room of the garage.

Elliot had completly caught Walter by surprise when he asked him to join his think tank. Walter had refused, but Elliot insisted that he should think about it more. So he was. Could I really be happier there? Walter thought as he decided to take a break. what he didn't see was Paige watching him as he went up the stairs

"Hey." Walter whirled around to see Paige walking up the stairs to the roof.

"Hey." He responded quietly, earning a questioning look from Paige.

"Are you okay? You seem, quiet." She asked while walking to him.

"I'm, fine." He watched her cringe at his words.

"Well you don't seem fine." She pressed.

"Paige..." Walter mumbled under his breath.

They elapsed into silence after that. He looked out at the city skyline. The sun was setting behind the clouds, casting a orange glow on the city.

"Wow, I've never seen the sky like this." She whispered quietly.

"Me either." He answered. Paige slipped her hand into his, startling him at the contact. She rose her other hand to cup his cheek and turned his face so he could look into her eyes.

"What's bothering you Walter." She whispered. He couldn't breathe, but he also couldn't bear to tell her what he was thinking about. So he just focused on the feelings of Paige's hand in his and her other one cupping his face. She would probably be angry as hell if he told her though.

"Paige, Elliot offered me a job today." Walter's predictions were right, her hands instantly retracted so she could cross them in front of her chest. Toby would say it was a position of defense.

"So, is that what you were thinking about?" She asked quietly after a moment of silence. He nodded in response. They grew quiet after that, watching the sun go down. And as the sun went down the auto lights for the roof came on. He noticed her shiver.

"It's getting chilly, I'm gonna head downstairs." He turned to go downstairs, but stopped when she grabbed his hand. Paige looked at him for a moment and said, "I'd like to now what's going on inside the mind of Walter O'Brien right now." He looked in her eyes (not letting go of her hand) and said, "Honestly, the offer is behind me now. Even though he just asked me." Paige looked at him with wide eyes and said, "Geez Walter don't string me along like that!" Walter chuckled at her response.

"So, what are you thinking about then?" Paige asked pryingly. HE took her other hand and said, "Just, the norm."
