Wish
Snow covered the ground,
The wind carried no sound,
Two souls on their way home,
"The snow looks like foam,"
Her voice was like silk,
"It looks more like spilled milk,"
She giggled in delight,
He melted at that sight,
Snowflakes braced her hair,
And her skin that was so fair,
She noticed his eyes on her quite for a while,
He silently promised to behave for the rest of the mile,
He noticed a smile spreading across her face,
Making his usually cold heart race,
Silence tightened their lips while on their way,
The mission dragged on, day after day,
Until the heir found the scroll,
And ended their mission once and for all,
The heiress sad that she missed out on her special day,
And instead being with her family, she had to stay,
Amidst a bloody, chilly fight,
Her body shook not due to fright,
But because of the cold,
Her legs hurt…and she began to feel old,
A hand landed on her shoulder,
She looked up in wonder,
The Uchiha placed her against a tree,
She still didn't understand, let alone see,
What was on his mind,
Or why he was starting to act kind,
"It's the 27th December,"
While working on ember,
He blew out a flame to keep her warm,
He sat beside her to keep her away from harm,
Her shivering stopped,
Her heart hopped,
She looked at him with a smile,
"So he knew it all the while?"
He turned to her and closed his eyes,
She felt stupid for thinking of herself as wise,
He smiled back, happy to be so close to her,
"Make a wish," he whispered through the cold air,
While holding his hand, she promised not to think of others wrong,
And she replied: "M-my wish…came true all along."
