Best Christmas Ever



This is the first Chrismas

I can remember

That I am not alone

It is a true Christmas



Misato is drinking her spiked eggnog

Giggling as Pen Pen stumbles around

A stocking on his head

But keeping an eye on all of us



Asuka really enjoys Christmas

And said that Japanese

"Don't know how to celebrate Christmas"

Now she's chasing Kaji with mistletoe



Rei seems confused

This is probably her first Chrismas

I hope she learns

What it's supposed to be



Kensuke and Toji raid the food

Kensuke wants a Eva

Toji just for his sister to stand

Two different wishes



Ritsuko seems depresed

As though she knows

She'll never get what

Kaji dodges Asuka

Duking under the mistletoe

Plants a kiss on Misato

And smiling mischivously slips away.




Hikari placates Asuka

sneaking glimpses at toToji

Ever peacemaker

Especally on this day of peace



I know what it is

To be alone on Christmas

A painful feeling

That no one cares



I am not alone this christmas

The company of those you care for

I've gotten what I wanted

A place that is home.
