I do not own American Horror Story: Cult.
Not sure if I'm going to make it through the season but I'm trying.
Keeper of the Dead
That's what he was now.
Making macaroni and cheese.
Plunging the toliet.
Watching some stupid movie in the basement.
As far away from their rotting corpses as he could get.
It wasn't that he didn't love them.
Well, his mother anyway.
She shouldn't of had to die in order to escape the anger and resentment of a disabled, self-consumed husband.
But she had.
She had killed him and then herself, the later right in front of her horrified son.
A boy just trying to get through the suckage of life with that miserable bastard and beaten down mother.
A boy who loved that mother.
And never wanted to see her blood and brains on the wall.
A boy who, at the behest of his older brother, that brother who got to go out into the world and do things and be somebody, had become the keeper of the dead.
Day in and day out.
Night and day.
Since dear old Dad's disabling accident, they had lived as recluses, hermits, social pariahs anyway.
Now, though, he was the face of the entire moldering family cloistered away within the confines of that house.
"Sorry, Mom's down with a headache. Sleeping like the dead, honestly. May I take a message?"
"Uh, no, he's busting taking a treatment, I'll sign for it, thanks."
"No, we don't need a Rainbow vacuum cleaner, we like the dust in the house . . ."
Especially the lye. Keeps down the smell.
". . . just fine. Have a nice day."
It did a number on you, that was for sure.
All the lying.
All the secrecy.
All the death.
So his brother got a life out in the world and his sister got Vassar.
And Kai Andrew Anderson . . .
I love you, Mom. I miss you. You stink.
. . . got to be . . .
Molder away, Dad. I hate you.
. . . the keeper . . .
I'm gonna go out and get some Taco Bell. See you guys later.
. . . of the Dead.
Can you imagine the psychology this entails? Frick, man.
Only on ep 5 so he may Joker me by just playing her with this story but for now this is what it is.
So thanks for reading. :)
