Summary: Sasuke's thoughts on what his home is.

-------------------------------=====================------------------------------========================---------

-Is this home?-

It was nearing midnight and Sasuke still couldn't sleep. Thoughts of a certain whiskered blond kept entering his mind, making him wonder if he had made the right choice. He looked around the room and sighed. He stared down at his lap as silent tears fell down his cheeks. He had barely been gone for half a year and already he could feel his heart breaking. It's longing for the one place it could call home, made every day a nightmare.

-Is this where I should learn to be happy?-

Sasuke sighed as he leaned back against his bed. His whole body ached. He couldn't even lift his arms. He had known that this would happen, since all Orochimaru wanted was a young strong body to inhabit. Sasuke growled in frustration as he was once again assaulted by tears. They fell down his cheeks, making his vision blurry. He closed his despair filled eyes. He wanted to go home. It was childish to think like that, but he couldn't help it. He wanted to go to the home where he could be happy; a home with blue skies and bright sunlight.

-Never dreamed

That a home could be dark and cold-

Sasuke shivered as the cold penetrated the thick blanket that covered him. It had always been difficult for him to sleep, but now it was worse. The thoughts that plagued his mind made him wish desperately for the warmth of his home. Even though it couldn't happen, he kept wishing.

-I was taught

Every day in my childhood

Even when we grow old-

Three years, it had been three years since Sasuke had left. Hopefully now that he was older he could finally go home, hopefully. Sasuke sighed as thoughts of Orochimaru popped into his mind. He had decided to kill Orochimaru so that he could go home. It had been three years but still his home lived on surrounded by blue skies and bright sunlight.

-Home will be where the heart is

Never were words so true-

He couldn't do it. He couldn't go home, even though he desperately wanted to see his home. Those alluring eyes that seemed to make his pulse race with just one look into them. The bright hair that made him smile even if it was pouring rain outside. He had wished but he couldn't go. He couldn't go home to those beautiful eyes and bright hair.

-My heart's far, far away

Home is too-

They stopped in a shaded area, making sure to secure the area before making camp. He had done it. He had succeeded in killing his older brother. It had been tiresome but worth is. Now he was free of Itachi. Sasuke sighed deeply, making Karin turn to look at him from where she had been arguing with Suigetsu. Sasuke held up a hand to fend off her question, she nodded in understanding and then turned back to her argument. Sasuke sighed again before closing his eyes. As he slowly drifted toward sleep he saw his home. His beautiful home filled with those alluring blue eyes and bright blond hair. He smiled slightly as his mind supplied the name of his home. Naruto.
