Sakura knew that this was the latest Kakashi-sensei had ever been when Naruto had started to drool on her. Sasuke didn't look any more awake though, and Sakura supposed she had gotten the most sleep of the three.
"Eurgh." Sakura said, pushing Naruto's head away from her shoulder, only for him to flop onto Sasuke. The other boy opened his eyes in surprise.
"Is he here yet?" Sasuke asked sleepily. Sakura shook her head, and Sasuke tried not to sigh too loudly as Naruto snoozed against his shoulder. So maybe, Sasuke mused quietly, the whole revenge thing was a little dramatic compared to life now. They were all sixteen, and coming back to life filled with D rank missions had been an awkward adjustment for Sasuke. But now…it was like he'd gained back a family.
"Naruto don't drool on me."
"Screw you."
"You're sleeping on the ground if you do."
"…screw you?"
"Drool on me, dumbass."
"Love to." Naruto said, and Sasuke shoved him aside.
"Oi, oi, just kidding." Naruto said and huffed as he leaned against the wall. "How longs'it been, anyway?" Naruto asked.
"Four hours and twenty-six minutes." Sakura said.
"Why can't we go home again?" Naruto whined.
"Kakashi said he'd send us back to the academy if we didn't show up." Sasuke muttered.
"Oh s'right." Naruto said, and made a face. "Stupid bastard." Sasuke mutely agreed, and together the three of them waited for their sensei to remember he had forced his students to get up at four in the morning to trim Kurenai-sensei's rose bushes.
