"Rumpelstiltskin kills everything he touches," he practically snarled at the blond buffoon of a prince, "you know this to be true."

Charming nodded slowly.

Hook—so Hook, never Killian—bared his teeth and said "Then why did you let her go with him?"

Charming's face darkened and he stepped close to the insolent pirate, clearly angry.

"He threatened everyone she cares about," he growled, "He said he would kill Henry, Snow, me and… you." His voice trailed off into nothing.

Hook swallowed. Killian bubbled to the surface, hopeful.

"Me? Your lovely daughter thinks she is protecting me?" he replied, Adam's apple bobbing.

David stepped back and scrutinized him, nodding slowly.

"Bloody hell, the lass must know I can take care of myself!" he frowned, frustrated.

David laughed. "Emma is good, Hook," he replied, turning to walk away, "She'll protect anyone being threatened unjustly, even you."

Hook watched Charming walk away.

The lass was trying to protect him.

Stupid Swan girl. Stubborn Lass.

A smile spread across his face.

He pivoted on a heel and walked away, a spring in his step.

He had plans to make. He needed to know more about many things.

He needed to adjust his course, set sail towards her, and pull her aboard his ship.

Before the crocodile got her.

He had a favour to return.

He had a swan to save.

His eyes hardened and he sneered.

He had a crocodile to kill.

This was a "Hook finds out Emma went to Manhattan" fic from ages ago. Hope you all enjoyed. I own nothing, etc, etc, etc.
