Winston Payne was easily beaten by a brand new defence attorney yesterday, much to the surprise of the people watching in the courtroom. Is this a brand new lawyer dangerous to everyone working in law?
Phoenix Wright, 24, took part in his first trial just yesterday morning. His nerves were visible to everyone sat in the courtroom, but although he was sat opposite a skilled prosecuting attorney, he beat him easily. Payne, 49, also known as 'The Rookie Killer', was shocked to discover that he had been beaten by Wright in a murder trial. Larry Butz, 23, was accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend Cindy Stone, 22. Stone was a model who had broken up with Butz recently, much to Butz's disappointment. Payne was confident that he would win the trial, but was devastated to discover that he had lost easily against Wright, who had been mentored by defence lawyer Mia Fey, 27.
I was sat with my mouth open in shock. Phoenix Wright? Working in law like him? What if they would end up facing each other in court? I glanced briefly at the letters that had been sent to me from Phoenix Wright. Maybe the Judge would discover their relationship! What would he think then?
