His face still stung from the quick lash he received from Kaname. Sitting in his room he held his hand to his face, "Ouch," he hissed while his crystal eyes shimmered with sadness. His cousin, Kain, walked in with the utmost displeased expression.
Leaning against the frame of the door he shook his head, "You deserved that, Hanabusa…you are aware of this. Right?" Aido turned now facing Akatsuki, a sigh slipped past his tender lips. "Come on, did you really think he'd let you speak to her that way? You should know this by now. Don't you ever learn?" Akatsuki spoke in a rather tranquil tone.
"I know…b-but…," his fists clenched into tight balls, "Who does she think she is anyway? What makes her think she can act like that!?" he said through teary eyes. Kain sauntered over to his cousin and took a seat. Neither of them spoke another word. It was rather frank that Akatsuki thought the same thing, even so…he did not speak out of terms like his self-obsorbed cousin. While the two sat in that everlasting silence, Aido bit his lip drawing a trail of blood down his chin.
"You're bleeding, Hanabusa," Kain stated now looking at the blonde with concern. Aido turned away his eyes focusing on the outside world on the other side of the window. The blood dripped down onto the couch where it would forever leave its mark. "I know you're upset…but…just try to watch what you say. Alright?" still Aido did not answer. Gripping the side of the couch he watched as ice began to wrap around it.
His cousin now stood up, he flashed a look of concern Aido's way, but nothing more.
The two understood that Yuuki was rather bold to speak to Kaname that way, but they also knew that Aido would always be the one to be repremanded if he ever spoke to her with such recklessness. It would forevermore be that way.
Until the end of time.
